Our Beginning

 

Hello! Thank you for being here!

Rooted in Love was created in March of 2021 when my mom, Hortencia, decided to put her all into creating a safe space for herself to share little plants & succulent arrangements at outdoor pop-ups in the midst of the pandemic.

With very little knowledge of plants at the time, I decided to embark on this journey with her to be an extra set of hands in making her little dream a reality. During this time, I was also looking for more ways to improve my own mental health, and in turn, discovered the healing properties of being surrounded by houseplants. 

Not only are houseplants scientifically proven to help decrease feelings of stress and anxiety; caring for them can also improve your memory, boost creativity, and positively impact your own self-esteem! I decided early on that I wanted to share such positivity with everyone around us, not just at pop-ups sporadically.

Slowly but surely, our small plant business grew from small pop-ups a few times a month, to becoming certified with the Department of Agriculture & now being permanent vendors in 8 weekly Certified Farmers' Markets around Southern California!

As we continue to grow, we will share more of our story & where we're growing! 🌿
