Calathea Orbifolia

 Calathea Orbifolia is easily distinguishable by its almost black leaves & vivid pink variegation. 

☀️ Place your Calathea where it can receive bright, indirect light. Avoid putting your plant where it can receive direct sunlight as this can burn its leaves. This Calathea will enjoy being placed near a noth or east facing window.  

💧Calathea orbifolia need to be watered when the top inch of soil is dry to the touch. Watering frequency depend on brightness of light. Water with distilled water, rainwater or bottled if possible. They do not like minerals in tap water. 

🙏 Calatheas are able to move their leaves in response to changes in light conditions. 

🚿 Humidity is one of the most important things to focus on to keep your Calathea happy. If your plant is starting to show signs of brown leaf edges or tips, this is a sign of low humidity. Humidity of 60% or higher is usually what allows these plants to thrive. They do really well in bathrooms with lots of sunlight.
