String of Watermelon 🍉 (Senecio herreanus) is a trailing succulent that grows plump melon-shaped leaves with stripes that darken when exposed to lots of bright sunlight. They will naturally cascade out of their pots and can easily be grown with other succulents too.
☀️ This trailing succulent thrives in bright, indirect light indoors and partial/direct sunlight outside. If you want your String of watermelon to have darker stripes, brighter light over a period of time is a must. Without a lot of light, your plants leaves will stay green with green stripes.
💧 When watering, saturate soil entirely then allow soil to fully dry out before watering again. Make sure your Watermelons are potted in well-draining soil and are in pots with good drainage at the base.
⚠️ Toxic if ingested. Not pet friendly.
